2004 ... a very good year!

In 2004 we were blessed with three lovely foals; two charming fillies and one handsome lad!  It wasn't  hard to decide that we really wanted to retain the fillies as potential replacements for their beloved dams.  The future looks bright and exciting for these two girls and you can be sure to see them in the showring soon!

Amore is Italian for "love", we think it a befitting name since her dam is Luvabillity, simply known as Luvie around the barn.  Amore (nicknamed "Amy") is appropriately named as she is quite the loveable one!  She simply adores human interaction and is quite demaning of it actually!

Amy is the first foal for her dam Luvabillity and we couldn't be any more pleased with what she presented us with.  Quite the little show off she is, liking to strut around with that little tail straight in the air.    Displaying elegant conformation, balance and refinement, the perfect blend of her sire and dam.  Her dam Luvabillity was Junior Pleasure Driving Champion at the Michigan All Morgan, we think that Amore has this same style and panache to be a driving horse supreme.

We are so pleased with little Amore that we decided she is a "keeper"!  She will enjoy a successful show career and later on in the breeding shed, Amy will hopefully produce us something one step closer to our "vision" of perfection.  If she can produce half as good as she is as an individual then we will be elated!

Arwen is an enchanting young lass and often a favorite with farm visitors.  She seems to have a way of getting your attention, which is good as she does not like to be ignored.  Nicknamed "Kiki", her future here at Shilstone looks bright.

Kiki has the elegant long and refined neck of her sire and grandsire, sure to look lovely when in a good hunter braid.  It appears that Kiki will have good size as well; maturing near an honest 15.1 while maintaining refinement and feminine grace. Her color is coming in a deep black liver chestnut.

Her dam "Memzie" is our personal farm favorite due to her intelligence and sweet nature, and Kiki seems to be her "Mothers daughter"..  So she has some pretty big tracks to follow in, but we are confident she'll do it well and then some!

FLASH!  Kiki has been sold to Janis Bailey of Up-Hi Morgans.  Janis owns Kiki's second dam "Duskidol of Hideaway" and bred her dam Up-Hi Mem-O-Ree.  Janis says that she's been waiting 15 years for a replacement of her beloved Duskidol (who is now 25) and finally found her in her grand-daughter Kiki.  Altho we really didn't intend on selling this fine filly, a good home like Janis' could not be denied!  Congratulations to Janis on her new girl, may she bring you as many years of enjoyment as her dam and grand-dam brought you.

Foaled in January, they enjoyed playing in the snow.
